VOLUNTEERS

The Centre currently has 22 volunteers who work shifts of 2½ hours in winter and 3 hours in summer. The number of shifts worked is entirely up to the individual volunteer, some offering their time twice a week while others can only manage once a month. Skills are varied and tasks are allocated in accordance with an individual volunteers abilities and wishes. Volunteers work in a range of capacities, including cleaning the centre, working on the information desk, maintaining stock, record keeping, preparing & producing information leaflets, teaching basic computing etc. The total number of volunteer hours is in excess of 2250 per year. New volunteers are always welcome.
